Cougars Tie for Second at Crossroads League Championships

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) competitive cheerleading squad concluded the season as co-runner-ups at the 2025 Crossroads League Championships on March 15, tying for second place with Marian University.

In the preliminary rounds, USF finished fourth with a score of 78.27. Marian University secured third place with a score of 81.32, while Taylor University took second with a score of 81.97. Indiana Wesleyan University led the prelims with a score of 87.27. Bethel University, Spring Arbor University, Mount Vernon Nazarene University, and Huntington University completed the remaining placements.

During the finals round, the Cougars improved their score by 4.96, finishing second with a score of 83.23. Indiana Wesleyan won the round with a total of 87.87, while Marian maintained third place with a score of 82.22. Taylor and Spring Arbor rounded out the top five, scoring 81.73 and 75.43, respectively. Bethel, Mount Vernon, and Huntington placed sixth through eighth.

After combining scores from both rounds, Saint Francis and Marian tied for second place with an overall score of 81.992. Indiana Wesleyan won the competition with a score of 87.717, earning an automatic bid to the NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championship. Taylor and Bethel finished in fourth and fifth, with overall scores of 81.792 and 74.867. Spring Arbor took sixth place, Mount Vernon secured seventh, and Huntington finished eighth.
