Softball splits with No. 16 Indiana Wesleyan

Game 1 Highlights: 

  • Elle Sauder started the game for USF and recorded 18 outs. Went six innings, giving up one run on three hits, striking out two and walking two.
  • Brylee Bilger hit a solo home run for the Wildcats in the first inning giving them an early lead.
  • Alysaa Wagner earned the win for IWU.
  • Madyson Minnich, Sam Baker, Bree Miller each earned a hit for the Cougs.
  • Zero errors by USF.

Game 2 Highlights: 

  • USF, Viggiano scores in first inning after Karr's single line drive to center field putting the Cougs up 1-0 early.
  • Wildcats notch 3 in the bottom of the second with Seitz, Wyatt, and Tragesser scoring.
  • Fifth inning brings 3 more in for USF making it 4-3. McCord single brings Dowd in for a score. Miller's single advances baserunners and allows Allman to score. Baker walked moving runners again and scoring Schott.
  • 7th inning solidifies the 6-3 win for the Cougs. Viggiano doubles on a line drive to center, scoring McCord and Miller.
  • Rust with the win.
