EATON, Ohio - The Indiana University East men's soccer team dropped a 5-2 decision to the University of St. Francis on Saturday, Sept. 2.
After St. Francis scored four times in the opening period, the Red Wolves got on the scoreboard as the horn sounded at the end of the period at Eaton High School.
Jake Erbse scored his first collegiate goal on an unassisted play in front of the net.
In the second half, Eddie Carrizalez scored his initial goal of the season for the Red Wolves with an assist from Tristan Thomas.
Alex Visscher had five saves for IU East.
Next up for IU East (0-3) is a match against the University of Pikeville (0-2) at Centerville High School on Monday, Sept. 4. The match gets underway at noon.
On Saturday, Midway University defeated Pikeville 2-1 in the second contest of the doubleheader in Eaton.
Midway (1-1) faces St. Francis (3-1) in Centerville on Monday at 2:30 p.m.
