Cougars Defeat the Trojans in Much Needed CL Dub
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Lady Cougars faces off against the Trojans of Taylor University for a conference match-up on Saturday afternoon. They came out on top 74-65.
Emily Parrett led the way early on with 10 first quarter points to keep the game close, being down only 1 after the first. They went on a run in the second to go up 38-31 leading into the half. They did not give the lead back and held on to win by 9. Taylor Fordyce led the way with 15 points and Chloe McKnight had 9 of her own to go with 9 boards. Off the bench, Carly Culberson had 15 points and made some big plays to give them some momentum.
USF is now 11-8 overall and 4-6 in Crossroads League play. The Lady Cougars will play again next Wednesday at Goshen. USF will take on the Goshen College Maple Leafs at 5:30 PM EST. Goshen College is currently 8-12 overall and 3-7 in Crossroads League Play.
