
Newcomer Named MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) announced the Midwest League players of the week, recognizing the league's top individual performances over the weekend.
Nate Newcomer received recognition as the MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week. During the Cougars' 27-14 victory over Saint Xavier on November 9, Newcomer recorded six tackles, which included one for a loss, a pass breakup, and two interceptions. The Cougar's win over SXU secured a share of the MSFA Midwest League Championship for USF.
This is Newcomer's first MSFA Defensive Player of the Week honor this season.
