Cross Named MFSA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Year; 19 Cougars Earn All-Midwest League Honors

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - In their first season as members of the Midwest League, the Univesity of Saint Francis (Ind.) picked up 19 All-Midwest League selections, as the 2024 MSFA All-Midwest League Teams were announced on Monday, November 25.

USF head coach Kevin Donley was named the Midwest League's Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to an MSFA-record-extending 14th conference title. Offensive Coordinator Adam Sherman was selected as the Midwest League Assistant Coach of the Year.

Saint Francis placed a total of five Cougars on the MSFA Midwest First Team, highlighted by the Midwest League Defensive Player of the Year, Marquise Cross. Cross headed into the NAIA Football Championship Series with 7.5 sacks, third-most in the Midwest League, and 13.5 tackles for loss out of a total of 40 tackles on the season.
