Men's Basketball to Travel to Kentucky for NAIA First and Second Rounds

KANSAS CITY, Mo - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the 64-team field and pairings for the 2025 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship. The tournament will begin with the 2025 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship First & Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy, on March 14 at 16 host sites throughout the country. The 16 winners from each site will advance to the 2025 NAIA National Championship Final Site in Kansas City, Mo., which tips off on March 20 and concludes on March 25th when the 87th NAIA Men's Basketball National Champion is crowned at Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.

The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars earned the No. 10 seed and will face No. 7 Lewis-Clark State College in Georgetown, Kentucky on March 14 at 8:00 p.m.

GAME NOTES

  • The entire 64-team field for the 2025 national championship has an overall record of 1,410-477, sporting a winning percentage of 74.7%.
  • Saint Francis earned one of the 30 at-large bids, entering the NAIA Tournament with an overall record of 17-12, including a Crossroads League record of 10-8. 
  • USF has made 15 NAIA Tournament appearances and is one of 19 teams in this year's field that have won a title before. The Cougars made their last tournament appearance in 2022.
  • The Cougars are averaging 80.8 points per game and are shooting 49.8% from the field while averaging 34.7 rebounds per game. 
  • Luke Almodovar is averaging 20.4 points per game, with 593 total points scored this season which ranks in the top 25 in the NAIA. The sophomore has a field goal percentage of 50.8% (189-372) and a three-point shooting percentage of 41.3% (64-155).
  • Isaiah Malone leads the Crossroads League and is sixth in the nation with a field goal percentage of 68.6%. He has recorded 215 rebounds and 49 blocks this season.
  • The Cougars are averaging 75.1 points per game and are shooting 47.9% from the field. Saint Francis is also averaging 35 rebounds and 16 assists per game. 
  • Zane Burke is averaging 10.7 points per game, while Branden Northern has dished out 120 assists with 35 steals this season.
  • Lewis-Clark State has an overall record of 24-7 and finished the regular season with a 17-5 record in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC). In the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Warriors were receiving votes. 
  • Alton Hamilton leads Lewis-Clark with 521 points, an average of 17.4 per game, 309 rebounds, 79 assists, and 31 blocks.
  • MaCarhy Morris has made 44 three-pointers behind a three-point shooting percentage of 41.1%, while John Lustig has a team-high 24 steals.
