
Women's Basketball to Host Indiana Tech in NAIA First Round
KANSAS CITY, Mo - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially announced the teams and bracket for the 2025 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds, presented by Ballogy. The 64-team bracket will begin with the First and Second Rounds at host sites nationwide on March 14-15. The 2025 NAIA Second Round winners will meet in Sioux City, Iowa, at the NAIA Championship final site presented by Bomgaars and Sterling. The 44th annual championship occurs at the Tyson Events Center from March 20-25.
The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars earned the No. 3 seed and will host No. 14 Indiana Institute of Technology on Friday, March 14 at 2:00 p.m. for the first game of the Fort Wayne Priority Life Care NAIA National Tournament First and Second Rounds.

GAME NOTES
- Saint Francis enters the NAIA Tournament with an overall record of 26-4, including a Crossroads League record of 15-3. USF came in at No. 9 in the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll.
- USF has made 20 NAIA Tournament appearances and is one of eleven teams in this year's field that have won a title before. The Cougars made their last tournament appearance in 2020.
- The Cougars are averaging 75.1 points per game and are shooting 47.9% from the field. Saint Francis is also averaging 35 rebounds and 16 assists per game.
- USF is led by Cali Gregory who is averaging 15.7 points per game. The freshman is shooting 50.6% from the field (182-360) and 44.9% from three-point range (61-136), both of which rank in the top 25 in the NAIA. This season, she also has accumulated 116 assists and 37 steals.
- Julia Mantyla leads the Crossroads League and is seventh in the nation with a 60.0 field goal percentage (111-185) and ranks third in the league with a 44.3 three-point shooting percentage (35-79). Mantyla is averaging 9.7 points per game and has recorded 28 steals and 20 blocks this season.
- Cassidy Crawford is averaging 11.9 points per game and has recorded 162 rebounds, 30 steals, and 22 blocks this season, while Isabella Gizzi's 45.2 three-point shooting percentage is the 12th-best in the NAIA.
- Indiana Tech has an overall record of 25-5 and won the Wolverine–Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Regular Season Title after finishing with a record of 19-1. In the final NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Warriors were receiving votes.
- Taylor Covington is leading the Warriors, averaging 16.7 points per game, with 501 total points scored this season. She also has 125 assists and 47 steals on the season.
- Genevieve Decker has pulled down 218 rebounds for Indiana Tech, averaging 7.3 rebounds per game.
- USF and Indiana Tech met back in November during the regular season, with Saint Francis winning that matchup by a final score of 65-53. The Cougars were led by Gregory with 24 points and Mantyla with 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Warriors were led by Covington with 21 points and Lauren Barton with 13 points and six rebounds.
