Bio
Kristian Gayday (KG) comes to Saint Francis (Ind.) after an outstanding four year career for Coach Bobby Pierce at Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne that ended in 2014. After his collegiate career, Kristian played one year (2015) for the Sonoma Stompers in the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball. Along with coaching Infielders and Hitters for USF, Kristian coaches for the summer travel organization, Fort Wayne Diamondbacks.
PRIOR TO IPFW
Kristian Gayday played his high school baseball at nearby Elmhurst High School... Gayday was part of the final baseball squad at Elmhurst before the school closed in 2010... Helped lead the Trojans to an 18-7 record and first Sectional Championship in eight years... As shortstop for Elmhurst, Gayday was named All-SAC First Team his senior year and All-Area.
SAINT FRANCIS
Under Kristian's guidance, Saint Francis hitters experienced growth in several areas. Cougar hitters hit 24 points higher, ranked in the top half of the NAIA in doubles, scored 44 more runs, increased slugging percentage, increased free bases (walks and hit by pitches). On top of the offensive output, Kristian was instrumental in the explosion of Stolen Bases for the 2019 season.
PERSONAL
Kristian is the son of John and Chris Gayday... He has a sister, Natasha and a brother, Johnny... Kristian currently holds a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
