Cougars Fall to a Tough Taylor Trojan Side

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Saturday afternoon the University of Saint Francis Cougars (9-8; 2-5 Crossroads) fell to Taylor University with a final of 73-82.

The Cougars are now 2-2 in their last four match-ups with the Trojans. Saint Francis started slow in the first half trailing 10-17 with plenty of basketball remaining. Zane Burke stepped up with some clutch shooting at the end of the half to propel the Cougars to a 4-point lead at the half.

Key contributors to the Cougars efforts include Dan Mckeeman's 25 points, 5 rebounds, and shooting 50% from three-point range. Zane Burke also contributed 18 points and 4 rebounds while Brandon Northern and Antwaan Cushingberry had a combined 23 points.

The Cougars are now 9-8 overall and 2-5 in the Crossroads League. Saint Francis will be back in action Wednesday January 11th where they'll travel to Indianapolis, Ind. to face off with the Marian University Knights. Tip-off is set for 7PM in Indianapolis, Ind. Saint Francis is 1-4 in their last five match-ups with the Knights.
