
Men’s Hoops falls to No. 7-Ranked Indiana Wesleyan
Transitional play fell short for the Cougars against the undefeated Wildcats. The Cougars were 21 for 54 from the field coming in at 39% shooting overall in the match-up. Fortunately, USF was able to score 20 points from the 12 caused turnovers. The Cougars also shot 10/10 in the second half at the line.
Key contributors to the game included Branden Northern leading overall scoring for both sides with 19 points and he also contributed 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Zane Burke (15 points) and Antwaan Cushingberry (11 points) also posted double digit scoring and had a combined 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
The Cougars are now 10-9 overall and 3-6 in conference. USF will return home on Wednesday January 18th to take on No. 16-Ranked Marian University. The last match-up between these two sides was on January 11th where the Cougars upset the Knights 73-71. Tip-off is set for 7pm at the Hutzell Athletic Center.
