Cougars Crunch the Leafs, now 2-0 in CL Play

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's basketball team played host to the Goshen College Maple Leafs Tuesday evening in Hutzell Athletic Center. USF added to the Leafs 7-game losing streak, propelling over the Leafs with a commanding 89-80 final. 

USF led by 18-points at the half, and had multiple players in double-digit scoring. Charlie Yoder led in overall scoring for the Cougars with 29 points & chipped in 4 rebounds & 1 assist. Freshman Luke Almodovar also chimed in with 18-points 8 rebounds, 2 assists, & 2 steals. Zane Burke was the final USF player in double digits, scoring 14 points & contributing 2 assists, 1 rebound, & 1 steal. Joe Reidy & Isaiah Malone combined for 14-points off the bench, giving USF the spark in the second half to ride the momentum through to a dub. 

The Cougars will take a break for Thanksgiving, but return to action Saturday December 2nd on the road in Huntington, Indiana. USF will play a double-header with the women's side with the women's game beginning at 1pm & their game beginning at 3pm. USF is now 7-2 overall & 2-0 in CL Play. The Foresters are 2-4 overall and 0-1 in CL Play.
