Men's Golf finishes just Shy of the Podium at IU East Invite
MUNCIE, Ind. -- The USF Men's Golf team traveled to Muncie, Indiana earlier today for the Indiana University East Golf Invitational at Delaware Country Club. The Cougars finished 4th overall as a team out of 11 other teams.
Some key highlights of the day included Wyatt Johnson putting for a birdie on hole #14 & Bailey Marquart chipping onto the green on hole#9. Bailey Marquart executed his birdie shot finish to shoot an even par 70 in the 1st round of the Invitational. Levi Follett also shot a 72 in the first round. At the conclusion of round 1, the Cougars stood as:
Round 1 - B Marquart 70, Levi Follett 72, Wyatt Johnson 73, Seth Roop 74. Overall, the Cougars shot 289 in Round #1 which set them up in 3rd place. USF finished 4th out of 11 teams. Finally, Wyatt Johnson finished as T5th and Bailey Marquart was T7th.
The Men will travel to Dearborn, Michigan next on Monday, October 9th for the Spring Arbor University Invite. The Invite will be played at TPC Michigan & include 2 rounds of 18 holes (36 holes total).
