
Cougars Fall to the Knights of Marian
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis men's soccer team traveled to Marian University on Saturday to compete with the Knights for a 7pm kick-off at St. Vincent Field. The Cougars outplayed the Knights, but ultimately fell 1-0 with the deciding goal coming in the 76th minute of play.
Enrique Subiran was a bright offensive light for the Cougars, as he tallied 7 shots, 5 of which were on frame, but was unable to put one past the Marian keeper. USF outshot the Knights 17-11, with 8/17 shots on frame. Jannik Reiss tallied 90 minutes on the night and recorded 5 saves & 1 goal against in the defeat. Reiss is now 7-4-3 overall in net for the Cougars.
USF will return home tonight as they host the Spring Arbor University (Mich.) Cougars for their Senior Night. The Cougars will be honoring 11 seniors 30-minutes prior to the 7pm kick-off at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium. Overall, USF is 8-5-3 & 1-3-3 in Crossroads League Play. They currently are in 7th ranking wise in CL play, and if results hold, they will qualify for the CL League Tournament.
