FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's soccer team dropped a close 1-0 game against the visiting Lancers of Grace College on Saturday, October 12.
Despite creating chances and firing off seven shots in the first half, USF was unable to find the back of the net as both the Cougars and the Lancers played through a scoreless 45:00 of action. Grace broke through the scoreless tie in the 74th minute and held off the Cougars to win Saturday's matchup 1-0.
As a team, USF outshot Grace 11-5 and led in corner kicks with five. Mika Leib, Unax Mendia, Jai Van Lim, and Christian Walter each had a shot land on goal on Saturday night. Jannik Reiss played all 90 minutes in goal for USF, collecting two saves.
