Lady Cougs hit National Qualifying Standard & Men’s Relay finds themselves in the Record Books

Highlights from the Lady Cougars included the Distance Medley Relay. This Relay hit a national qualifying standard. The team of Kristina Baum, Audrey Zeigler, Mariah Maley, and Alex Ebetino ran 12:35.21 which converted to an NAIA B Standard.

The second relay of Lillee Stewart, Yami Diaz, Kelsey Peck, and Ella Dubbs was pivotal in making sure the relay qualified, as Lillee Stewart took charge in the 1200m making sure the pace was what was needed to qualify.

Highlights from the Men included an NAIA B Standard in Pole Vaulting and an University of St. Francis Men's Track & Field entry into the record books.

Joe Painter picked up the win in the pole vault with an NAIA B standard height of 4.65. The Men's Distance Medley Relay of Connor Jackson, Cole Sikorski, Remington Carpenter, and Spencer Carpenter ran the second fastest time in school history just narrowly missing NAIA Standard as well.

Both teams will travel to Upland, Ind. Saturday January 28th, to partake in the Taylor Trojan Invite at Taylor University. Events start at 10am eastern time and can be streamed through the Taylor Athletics Youtube page (https://www.youtube.com/user/TaylorAthletics).
