Nondorf Hurdles to Victory, Carpenter strides to Victory, & Ebetino Runs a National Qualifying Time

UPLAND, Ind. – The Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field teams both traveled to Upland, Indiana on Saturday to compete at the Taylor Trojan Invite on Saturday January 28th. From the traveling athletes, 9 out of 15 athletes on the distance side ran lifetime bests.

Women:

Highlighted distance runner, Alex Ebetino, ran a national qualifying mark at 1000 meters. Alex finished 1st in the 1k, followed by teammates Kristina Baum and Kelsey Peck who finished 2nd & 3rd. 

More highlights of the weekend meet include Emma Kioski running a lifetime best in the 60 meter and 200 meters. Kioski is a sophomore from Garrett, Indiana. Mariah Maley got the event win in the 600 meter open as well.

The duo of Lillee Stewart and Yami Diaz finished 2nd and 3rd in the 800m. 

Men:

Highlights from the men's side at the Taylor Trojan Invite included victories from Spencer Carpenter in the 1000m and Nick Nondorf in the 60m hurdles.

Connor Jackson had a solid performance in the 1000m finishing just behind Carpenter. Cole Sikorski also ran the 2nd fastest time in USF school history in the 600m open.

Both teams will travel to Marion, Ind. Saturday February 4th, to partake in the IWU Midwest Classic at Indiana Wesleyan University. Events start at 9am eastern time and can be streamed through the IWU Sports Live Stream.
