
Another A Standard Weekend & 1st Place Finishes for the Cougars
UPLAND, Ind. -- This week the Cougars traveled to Upland, Indiana to compete in the Trojan Invite for a successful meet. Senior Cole Miller hit a new personal best with 14.99 meters in the men's weight throw, landing him in 3rd place overall. In women's weight throw, senior Madisen Hinderliter finished in 4th place with a mark of 13.50 meters and sophomore Hannah Boersema finished in 5th with 13.37 meters.
The women's 4,000-meter DMR (ran by Victoria Clibon, Mariah Maley, Alex Ebentino, and Kiara Bahena) hit the NAIA A-standard with a time of 12:20.61. In the men's 5,000 meters freshman Alvin Keter crushed it at 15:33.85. Freshman Dylan Anspach competed in the men's 1 mile where he finished with a time of 4:44.97, placing him 1st in his heat and 16th overall. Sophomore Cole Sikorski finished 3rd in the men's 600 meters at 1:25.84 and freshman Victoria Clibon finished 1st in the women's 3,000 meters with a time of 10:22.92.
The Cougars will compete again on February 3rd at the Midwest Classic hosted by Indiana Wesleyan and all events will start at 10 am.
