Saint Francis Turns in Strong Showing at Joe Banks Invitational
ADA, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) indoor track and field teams competed at the Joe Banks Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University on Friday, January 31. The Cougars delivered strong performances, achieving seven top-five finishes and numerous personal bests.
On the men's side, Saint Francis finished in fifth place with a team score of 66.
Freshman Hugo Humbert won the men's mile run with a time of 4:27.77, marking the second-best performance in program history. He finished 88 seconds ahead of the second-place competitor from the host school. Additionally, Humbert participated in the 1,000m run, where he achieved a personal best time of 2:43.82, securing fourth place.
Nick Nondorf, DJ White, and Connor Jackson each earned second place in their respective events on Friday night. Nondorf recorded a new USF top-10 mark in the 60m hurdles, finishing with a time of 8.58 seconds. White also earned a second-place finish in the 200m, crossing the line in 23.21 seconds, which was a personal best and a USF top-10 mark. Meanwhile, Jackson competed in the 600m run, finishing with a time of 1:30.02 for his second-place finish.
