Humbert Races to School Record; Cougars Compete Well at Jud Logan Light Giver Open
ASHLAND, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) indoor track and field teams competed at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open hosted by Ashland University on February 7-8.
The Cougars competed against over 30 teams on Friday and Saturday, achieving three new school records and several top-10 marks.
Hugo Humbert set a new Saint Francis school record in the 3,000m with a time of 8:47.54.
Benjamin Marano achieved two new top-10 times in the 400m and 200m events. He finished sixth in the 400m with a time of 50.98 seconds and completed the 200m in 22.97 seconds.
Quinn Clayton and DJ White also recorded new top-10 marks in the 400m. Clayton finished with a time of 52.65 seconds, followed by White, who clocked in at 53.48 seconds.
Dylan Anspach and Kelvin Sanja Etiang both achieved new personal bests in the 5,000m, placing among the top ten times at USF. Anspach finished first in 16:16.90, followed by Etiang in 16:29.86.
Joey Rauwerda had a top-10 finish in the pole vault with a mark of 4.81m, good enough for his second NAIA B standard mark of the season.
Up next, USF indoor track and field will compete at the 2025 Crossroads League Championships hosted by Taylor University on February 14-15.
