Cougars finish 22nd at Jenna Strong Invite
WILMINGTON, Ohio -- The men's cross country team traveled to Wilmington, Ohio on Friday evening for an 8k race against 27 teams total. Overall, USF placed 22nd, and competed with over 318 runners.
Junior, Connor Jackson, continued to showcase his leadership within the squad and have an individual finish of 87th out of 318 runners. His time was 28:03.51 in the 8k. Jackson was also nominated for Crossroads League Runner of the week, where the winner will be released on Monday. Junior, Cobin Moriarity finished 179th overall with a 30:21.92 time. Alexander Reagan was a shy minute behind Moriarity, finishing 207th overall with a 31:02.46 time. And finally, Cole Sikorski finished in 229th with a 32:34.06 finish.
The Cougars will have one more race to improve times before they compete in the Crossroads League Cross Country Championships on November 3rd. USF will continue on the road this coming week with a trip to East Lansing Michigan, where they will compete in the Eastern Michigan Invitational. The race will commence on Friday, October 20th, with a start time to be announced.
