Men's Cross Country Races to Seventh at 2024 Crossroads League Championships

UPLAND, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2024 Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 9.

This year's championships were held on the campus of Taylor University at the TUXC Farm. The Cougars finished in seventh place out of the nine conference teams.

Alvin Keter led the Cougars, crossing the finish line at 25:39.50 for 15th place. Hugo Humbert raced to a time of 26:30.30 for 37th place, while Kelvin Sanja Etiang finished Friday morning with a time of 27:22.00. Dylan Anspach finished the championships with a time of 28:35.21, and Connor Jackson rounded out the Cougars' efforts with a time of 28:43.20.

"For the first time in several years, the men will be represented at the NAIA Men's Cross Country National Championships. Alvin raced very well this season to punch his ticket to race in the national championships," Head Coach Brendon Moody said. "The men close out their season as the seventh-best team in the conference, which is a large improvement from last season."

The NAIA will officially announce the 2024 cross country national qualifiers on November 11 at 7:00 p.m. This year's championship will held on November 22 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri.
