Bio

Doug Peterson returns to USF for his tenth season as an assistant coach after joining the USF softball program for his first season in 2016. Peterson is a Ball State University graduate who served seven seasons on the Adams Central High School staff as an assistant coach/pitching coach. During Peterson's tenure at ACHS, the Flying Jets won two sectional titles, two regional titles, two semistate titles and was IHSAA runnerup twice in 2012 and 2013.

In his free time, Doug, a Tincher Certified Pitching instructor, gives lessons to players from all over the midwest.

Doug is a 1984 Jay County High School graduate. He was an All-State distance runner in 1984. After high school he went to Purdue and ran track and cross country and competed in the NCAA National Championships.
