Women's Basketball Finishes Regular Season Play on a High Note
Spring Arbor, Mich. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Lady Cougars headed to Spring Arbor, Michigan to take on the Cougars of Spring Arbor University to wrap up the regular season. They came out on top 74-58.
This one was all Lady Cougs from the jump. They got out to an early 11 point lead by scoring 24 in the first. They continued to keep the pressure on and went up 40-29 at half time. With good defense and great offense they extended their lead by 10 after the third, 62-41. Even with a late effort from Spring Arbor, your Lady Cougs won this one 74-58.
One of the key contributors in this one was Emily Parrett with 9 points and 5 rebounds. Another one was Chloe McKnight who dropped 10 points and 4 assists of her own. Isabella Gizzi went 4/5 from deep and had 14 total points. Also earning the start was Ally Madden who provided 16 points for the Lady Cougs. Off then bench Taylor Fordyce filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Lady Cougs finished the regular season 17-10 and 10-8 in conference. They locked up the four seed in the conference tournament and will play again Tuesday 7:00 PM EST in the Hutzell Athletic Center.
