
Cougars Fall to No. 9-Ranked Wildcats on the Road
MARION, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer team traveled to Marion, Indiana Wednesday night for a rainy Crossroads League match-up with the No. 9-Ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats. The Cougars fell to a tough opponent with a 4-0 final.
The deciding factor of the match came in the 17th minute where the Wildcats got on the board first to lead 1-0. USF entered the half down 2 goals, but were able to fire off a shot in the 2nd half coming from Freshman Evelyn Harkenrider for a promising opportunity.
Amber Morgan was busy in net, & faced 12 shots and made 8 saves in her 90-minute tenure. USF is now 3-6-2 and 0-2 in Conference against two Ranked opponents. The Cougars will resume play again on Saturday in Huntington, Indiana to take on the Huntington Foresters. Kick-off is set for a 1:30pm start time at King Stadium.
