Morgan leads the Cougars to a Shutout & Point in CL Play

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer team traveled to Goshen, Indiana Saturday evening for a crucial Crossroads League match. The Cougars finished the match scoreless and earned a point in CL play due to their 0-0 draw with the Leaf's.

Amber Morgan is a force to be reckoned with this season. Morgan recorded 90-minutes on the match against Goshen. Morgan had 5 saves in the match and the Leaf's rocketed off 13 shots. In total, she had 12 saves this week & 2 shutouts, earning the Cougars two crucial points to potentially compete for a 7th/8th place finish in CL Play & a spot in the CL Tourney.

Ava Slater was another standout performer of the match at Goshen. Slater has been crucial in the midfield this season & recorded 85 minutes in the match and had 4 shots with 1 shot on frame. 

The Cougars are now 3-8-4 overall and 0-4-2 in Crossroads League play. USF is currently sitting in 8th overall for CL play, and if results hold, they will play #2 Spring Arbor (Mich.) in the CL Tourney first round. The Cougars will continue Crossroads League play this coming Saturday at Bishop John M. D'Arcy Stadium playing host to the No. 8-Ranked Marian University Knights.
