Cougars Fall to Mount Vernon Nazarene in Regular Season Finale

MOUNT VERNON, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's soccer team traveled to Mount Vernon Nazarene to conclude the regular season on Wednesday, October 30. 

The Cougars dropped Wednesday night's match by a final score of 2-0. 

MVNU took an early 1-0 lead at the 5:06 mark in the first half. Mount Vernon Nazarene would go on to score again in the 28th minute for a 2-0 advantage. Saint Francis outshot Mount Vernon Nazarene 15-9 in the match, but the Cougars were unable to find the back of the net as MVNU won 2-0. Taylor Swygart led USF, taking six shots, four of those shots landing on goal. Rachel Bova had six saves during 90 minutes in goal for USF. 

USF women's soccer concludes the regular season with an overall record of 9-5-4 and a conference record of 2-5-2. The Cougars have secured the No. 6 seed in the Crossroads League Tournament and will travel to No. 3 seeded Indiana Wesleyan University for the Quarterfinal round on November 6.
