Cougars Deliver Strong Performances Joe Banks Invitational
ADA, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) indoor track and field teams competed at the Joe Banks Invitational hosted by Ohio Northern University on Friday, January 31. The Cougars delivered strong performances, achieving nine top-five finishes and numerous personal bests.
The USF women's team finished the night with a team score of 69.5 for fourth place.
The Cougars secured the top three spots in the 600m. Mariah Maley finished first with a time of 1:38.10, followed by Rileigh Baumer in second place at 1:45.23, and Lillee Stewart in third with a time of 1:53.63. Baumer also took second place in the 800m, finishing with a time of 2:30.50.
In the 1,000m run, Kiara Bahena clinched first place, crossing the finish line at 3:05.50. Her time in the 1,000m is the third fastest in program history.
Maley, Baumer, Stewart, and Bahena also teamed up for the 4x400m relay, where they finished in second place with a new USF top-10 time of 4:14.58.

Up next, the USF indoor track and field teams will compete at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open hosted by Ashland University before competing at the 2024 Crossroads League Championships on February 14 and 15.
