
Miller & Men's 4x800m team Shatter NAIA Records in CL Championship Day 1
MARION, Ind. -- The Men's & Women's Track & Field teams traveled to Marion, Indiana to compete in the Crossroads League Conference Outdoor Championship. The Crossroads League Championship will span through Saturday March 6th where one Men's & Women's team will be crowned the Crossroads League Championship title. The Cougars got off to a tremendous start to Day 1 of the Championship weekend.
A few updates include both of Marian's teams in the lead, with Taylor knocking on the door for Day 2. Evie Miller of the USF Women's side was the standout performer of the day as she broke a 15-year record in the 10K with a time of 35:38.27. Hannah Boersema also contributed to the heat of USF by throwing a 38.31m javelin, dominating the rest of the CL teams. Also highlighting USF's Day 1 was the Men's 4x800m relay as they shattered the previous set mark, and are now the fastest ran race in the NAIA with 5 teams in the Championship also hitting A standards, four of those breaking the record.
