Lady Cougs .500 Overall after Day 1 of Labor Day Classic
SIOUX CITY, Sd. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's volleyball team competed in their second game of the Labor Day Classic Invitational last night, & dropped to Morningside in 3 sets.
The Lady Cougars progressed throughout each set, starting set 1 with only 8 kills and finishing off set 2 with 12 & set 3 with 11. Nine Cougars played in all three sets & as a team they tallied 31 kills, 17 errors, 28 assists, 3 service aces, & 2 blocking errors.
Freshman, Kendel Frey capped off the evening with 11 kills in only 2 sets played. Hannah Sweeney also led in digs with 9. USF will compete in two more matches before heading back to Fort Wayne, Indiana to enjoy the holiday.
The Lady Cougars will open up Crossroads League play on September 6th on the road in Goshen, Indiana. First serve is set for 7pm at Platt Arena where the Cougars will pay a visit tot the Foresters.
