
Cougars Race to Third at Mastodon Alumni Open
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's and women's cross country teams raced to third-place finishes at the 2024 Mastodon Alumni Open hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne on Friday, September 20.
After delays due to weather, the USF women's team finished in third place overall. The Cougars were led by sophomore Victoria Clibon with a fifth-place finish and a time of 22:56.5. Gloria Wafula crossed the finish line in 11th place with a time of 24:04.6, followed by Rileigh Baumer with a time of 24:16.6 for 15th place.
"The women's squad had a large breakthrough this evening," Head Coach Moody said. "They are racing to where we know they can be!"
Up next, USF men's and women's cross country will be off until the Ray Bullock Invitational hosted by Taylor University on October 11. The Cougars will then compete in the NAIA Appalachian Challenge on October 25.
